Possible Sanctions or Supportive Measures that HCN May Impose Following the Results of Any School Disciplinary Proceeding Under this Policy
The following sets forth a non-exhaustive list of potential remedies for complainants, which HCN may impose. Possible sanctions include the reprimand, suspension, or expulsion of a student respondent, the reprimand, suspension, or termination of an employee respondent and complainant’s options to avoid contact with the respondent and to change academic, professional, and extracurricular activities as well as complainant’s living, transportation, dining, and working situation, as appropriate.
HCN may provide immediate steps and supportive measures to ensure the safety and well-being of the complainant or respondent, such as the ability to move office locations or on-campus housing arrangements, change work schedules, alter academic schedules, withdraw from or retake a class without penalty, and access to academic support (e.g., tutoring). HCN may also be able to provide additional supportive measures while an investigation is pending, such as no contact orders and a change in office space arrangements or course schedule. Any supportive measures shall be identified and implemented by HCN in its sole discretion and based on the then-known facts and circumstances of a particular Title IX investigation.
