I had amazing experiences with the nurses who helped deliver my children. My first delivery required an emergency c-section, the nurses comforted and cared for me during the entire process. I was in awe of how they were both attentive and reassuring. Then I was blessed to have the same experience with a wonderful team of nurses caring for me during my second delivery.
Both of my children were diagnosed with autism as they got older. Due to this, I have had many encounters with nurses. The way these nurses interact with my children is reassuring. I want to be able to comfort and care for families the same way nurses in my life have cared for me and my family.
Since I am a mother of two children on the spectrum, I needed to find a nursing school that was close to home and had a reasonable schedule. I did my research and came across great reviews for Hondros College of Nursing. I knew Hondros would be an excellent fit for me.
To those considering a career in healthcare, prioritize focusing on what is important and eliminate any distractions. Make sure you set aside time to study. It helps to make a group chat with your cohort, working together and supporting one another is important!
