Over the past eight years, my sole focus has been on caring for older adults in various long-term care settings. Beginning my healthcare journey at the age of 19, I have consistently sought opportunities for both skill development and education. Obtaining my STNA license was a crucial step forward in my professional growth. Despite dedicating myself to the service of others for many years, I had yet to uncover my true purpose. It was not until I faced a period of personal struggle with depression four years ago that I decided to seek professional help. Through this transformative journey, I came to realize that even in my darkest moments, I possessed the power to inspire and uplift those around me. This realization served as a defining moment, leading me to understand that my calling in life was to offer help and healing to others.
Opting to pursue a career in nursing was a natural choice that perfectly aligned with this newfound purpose. I firmly believe that nursing encompasses not only physical care but also emotional and mental support. My desire to provide help, healing, and inspiration to individuals throughout their unique journeys is what fuels my passion for nursing.
I decided to attend Hondros College of Nursing after doing research and hearing reviews, I believed that this college was the best fit for me.
To someone who is thinking about starting nursing school I would say go for it. The simple fact that it is even a thought for you says a lot because not a lot of people have what it takes. I always believe people who have a passion and calling for helping and healing others would make a great nurse.
