As a young girl, I helped my mom with her insulin injections. Considering that she was a type 1 diabetic, I was no stranger to doctors and hospitals. My beloved aunt also battled multiple sclerosis. Becoming a caregiver came naturally as I aided my family. A nurse’s gift is helping a person in their most vulnerable moments. To heal, help, and serve is, and should be, at the center of a nurse’s heart.
After searching around for a good nursing school, I chose Hondros because of the program’s timeline and that there was no waitlist. I made sure I attended as many instructor-led tutoring sessions as possible. In addition, I went to open labs to enhance my learning experience. With graduation approaching, I was voted by my peers to be the class speaker.
There is no time like the present to get started! Is it tough? Yes! But is it worth it? Yes!
