HCN Success Stories
What an honor it is to work at Hondros College of Nursing! I love to serve people, and I am very proud to be the Academic Support Advisor for an amazing group of future nurses! I also work with an awesome team of dedicated, qualified, and caring faculty and staff that make it an absolute joy to come to work every day.

I am originally from Detroit, MI, I headed south after graduating from high school in the early 90’s. My children and I recently moved back here from the state of Georgia to reunite with my family after the death of a cherished loved one to help us heal as a family.

As you can guess, family is very important to me, and at the Detroit campus, we are a family here! I have always believed that if you take good care of your people, they will take good care of others, and it is my daily goal to make sure our students are well advocated for and supported through their journey in this program.

I always knew from a young age that I was supposed to be in the medical field, but I let fear keep me from accomplishing that goal. That’s why I strongly encourage our students to not let fear decide the outcome of their journey like I did. It is important to push through no matter what obstacle presents itself. Begin with the end in mind, you will not get what you think you are entitled to, you will get what you fight for! Trust the process and commit to what it will take to become something new!
