One of the things that I like most about Hondros is the teamwork and commitment to our students. From beginning to end, the students know that we are here to support them during their nursing journey. Our students come from many different backgrounds and belief systems but are united in one goal, to become a nurse. As I build relationships with the students, I hear their struggles and share their victories. By the end of it, they walk across that stage as a graduate nurse and realize it was worth it. Those are the moments that make me proud to work at Hondros College of Nursing.
As an Administrative Coordinator, I do many different things on the operations side of Hondros from ordering scrubs to helping plan events and anything else that comes up. Helping students solve issues and seeing them walk away from my desk with a smile is one of the best parts of my job. I keep encouraging quotes and other goodies around my desk for the students, and they love coming up for a chat and to see what’s new!
When I talk with students at orientation, I share tricks and tips to help them be prepared and organized. I let them know that we are here for them, we want them to succeed. If the student isn’t successful, we can’t be. I also make sure they know that they can come to me for love, support, and motivation. I have hugs and tissues always available! Life doesn’t stop while you are in nursing school and anything that can happen will probably happen during your time at Hondros, so make a back-up plan for your back-up plan!
Hobbies - I love crafting, spending time with family and rock collecting.
