HCN Success Stories

I’ve always had a passion for caring for people. Whether it’s helping everyday people you meet out in the street or taking care of my own family, caregiving is something that truly brings me happiness. Being there for others has always come naturally to me, which is why nursing felt like such a perfect fit.

I decided to enroll at Hondros College of Nursing after hearing great things about the program from friends who had attended before. Their positive experiences gave me confidence. As a stay-at-home mom, having flexibility in my schedule was also important, and Hondros allowed me to balance school with my family life.

For anyone thinking about starting nursing school, my biggest piece of advice is to make sure you’re fully committed. Nursing school can be tough, and it sometimes feels like every possible challenge will show up all at once. Having a strong support system makes a huge difference. Throughout my journey, compassion, caring, and endurance have helped carry me through. Nursing school requires you to have a strong sense of determination and discipline.

Nursing is about being ready to help people in every way you can—not just meeting basic patient needs but also stepping up to handle the responsibilities that fall within your scope of practice. That commitment to caring is what makes the hard work worth it.
