I have always wanted to be a nurse, but life got in the way. I worked as a medical assistant for 22 years between family practice and pediatrics. However, I have been out of the medical field for 10 years and I missed it terribly. I realized I love helping people. I’ve always dreamed about going back to school but would use my age as an excuse. It took some convincing from my niece, but here I am!
I decided on Hondros College of Nursing after my niece asked me if I wanted to join her and finish the program together. She had a friend who previously attended the college and made a recommendation. I have enjoyed my time spent at Hondros dearly. The professors are also great, I have learned a lot during my time here.
To those considering nursing or the healthcare field, remember that it is never too late. I will be 50 next month myself! I am beyond proud of myself for making to the finish line.
